I really loved this movie. Was it a little predictable? Well, yes. Did it repeat tropes that have appeared in media for ages? Yes. Was it still good? Yep. Mainly, I loved Tempest, and I really REALLY want her in the TV show. Seriously, Hasbro. She'll be, what, your fourth disabled character in MLP? And she's a badass acrobatic fighter? Do it! Do. It.
